Creamy Butter chicken

It’s the 5th Ramadhan. First attempt to cook creamy butter chicken. Goggled for the recipe & create my own.

Ingredients are of course butter, garlic, chicken (can substitute with prawn if u want), corn flour, egg, curry leaves, chillies & evaporated milk. Salt & sugar to taste.

First u clean & pat dry the chicken. Put 1 bowl of egg & 1 bowl of corn flour. Heat the oil in the wok. Dip the chicken in egg, then into flour & deep fry into pan. After done, put aside in a plate.

In another pan, melt the butter, garlic & curry leaves. Add chillies, salt & sugar. Add evaporated milk and some corn flour to tickens.

Once done, pour the creamy butter sauce on top of the chicken.

Bismillah.

Big Firm vs Small Firm

Currently working in a big organization with a lot of great benefits and i am grateful of that. It also means a lot of people, competitive people i.e: backstabbing idiots, selfish morons and other irrelevant behavior. It is even harder to find a friend in this organization as well as each of them have their own agenda in some weird ways. These are the things i hate and surely put a big stress on me.

Todd just opened his own firm last 3 months and after a few more months he’s thinking about getting me to work with him. I was so excited and can’t wait for it to happen. However it does worry me by being 24 hours with him, will it affect our relationship? Also can i accept him or can he accept me as an employee/colleague?

Then last week, I met an old acquaintance. He offered me to work with him. I tot he was kidding, he definitely not. He cannot pay a big salary but said can negotiate on the commission. Looking at his company portfolio definitely worth of joining and be in a team that will grow rapidly.

Oh no! times up, going back now. i can’t believe i didnt get this one finished. some other time.

Compliment or Lack of Improvement

Yesterday while i was out buying some groceries, i bumped into my former room mate when i was in my first year in uni. i sucked at remembering faces and names. She on the other hand recognized me and remembers my name. First question asked was how old am i now? i was like..er only 1 year younger than you (because she did her matriculation 2 years). She said i didn’t change at all, same as before.

I was thinking after that what was she meant by saying same as before, is it a compliment or to say that there is no improvement since i left uni? hahah

she’s married now with 3 children, working as a lecturer in a private college. She looked so matured even Todd thinks she’s older than him (Todd is 7 years older than me).

Remembering back then, i wasn’t so close to my room mate when i was in my first year. I was quite a rebel and uni years were the fun days, sleepless nite partying hard, date bunches of guys and did many more crazy things with my crazy friends from matriculation.

While she was the good girl, aiming to get good scores and scroll, no hanky panky. She deserved it, to become the lecturer, to be idolized by thousands and thousands of students.

She’s where she at now because that’s what she wants and i am exactly where i am supposed to be. God certainly knows the best things for each and everyone of us.

Ramadhan in 2 Weeks Time

Owh i just can’t wait for Ramadhan. Fasting month for all Muslim in the world. This is the month to find extra points for Akhirah. Every good deed is doubled, tripled & even more, In Sha Allah.

For me, i look forward to the fasting itself, that’s for sure. During breaking the fast is somewhat interesting, how i purely enjoy the food and be grateful on the food & everything given by Allah. During this month, we in Malaysia are given flexible working hour for us to come early to work in order for us to go back early. This year like every other year, i would love to cook everyday for breaking fast.

However this year i need to change the menu as currently Todd and I are on low-carbs diet. This is going to be a little bit tricky because i have to google out menus & recipe. Help!

I also hope this Ramadhan i have the opportunity to go to the mosque or musollah for Tarawikh prayer.

Because You Loved Me

It’s Christmas. I’m so blessed yo have Todd in my life. I would never trade anything in the world for him. Happy Holidays !

phew! finally.

Its finally almost the time to go back. Tomorrow my short break starts. Will be off to my hometown with my brother. What to expect from a 4-days at hometown > a lot of food. Alhamdulillah, i still have my parents & complete siblings. Although we are all never that close, except with my brother & youngest sister, i’m very grateful that we all still have each other. Undeniably, i sometimes do miss my sister & parents.

Going back to my hometown after the flood, i don’t know what to expect. I never experienced flood before, it never happened, at least not while i was growing up. However the recent misfortunate event, made me worried badly for the safety and health of my parents and sisters.

i learned that we have to be grateful in every single way we have cos there will always be people who are more less-fortunate than us. I’m now learning to appreciate all the small & simple stuffs that i used to enjoy. I catch up with my fave series, Carrie Diaries, Mistresses & a few other series. It was comforting and relaxing for me. I love it so much.

Also to appreciate our friends, especially those who’ve been with us through thick & thin. Because once all of these, families, friends & all the simple things are gone, we can never get it back. These are the people and things that made us who we are today.

Love. Live. Play.

Sahabat

Friends in malay, sahabat. At this age (30’s) i think its quite difficult to find some good & reliable friends. Many have hidden reasons why they befriended us. Do not judge others too fast, i have to ask myself if i have been a good friend to my friends. I think i did but some of the time, i admit of being a little bit selfish although not everytime & not to all of my friends. So the basic thing i guess in friendship is being honest & genuine with our friends. Never ever to back-stab cos u’ll get a stab at the back too, maybe not by that person but by other people. It hurts even if they r just friends & not exactly our steady boy/girl friend.

Coolest malay song about friendship by Najwa Latiff :

Kau ada dikala ku suka
Dikala ku duka
setiap tangisan dan juga ketawa
Kau ada dikala ku perlu
setia menemaniku
Pegang erat tanganku bila aku jatuh

Kau lah yang selalu
Selalu menemaniku
Mendengar kisah pahit manis
Hidup ku

Kau lah yang di situ
Setia menunggu ku
Kau lah yang satu
Menjadi sahabatku

Ku tahu ku kan selalu ada
Pada dirimu
Dan ku harap kau juga rasa begitu

Kau lah yang selalu
Selalu menemaniku
Mendengar kisah pahit manis
Hidup ku

Kau lah yang di situ
Setia menunggu ku
Kau lah yang satu
Menjadi sahabatku

Kau lah yang selalu
Selalu menemaniku
Mendengar kisah pahit manis
Hidup ku

Kau lah yang di situ
Setia menunggu ku
Kau lah yang satu
Menjadi sahabatku

Sahabatku.
